We’re honoured to welcome director Shariff Korver to Shortcutz Amsterdam on September 23!

Shariff Korver's debut feature, The Intruder (2014), premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2016, he created, co-wrote, and directed FENIX. The series premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2018, was selected for Series Mania, and received the Kees Holierhoek Screenplay Prize.

Korver has also worked internationally, directing three episodes of the Sky drama Temple (2019) with Mark Strong and Carice van Houten. His second feature, Do Not Hesitate (2021), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was selected as the Dutch submission for the Academy Awards.

Most recently, Korver directed Atomic (Sky Original, 2025), a five-part action-adventure series created by the writer of Peaky Blinders. Starring Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful), and Samira Wiley (Orange Is the New Black), the show premiered in the UK in August 2025.
