The latter was nominated for a Palme d’Or. In 2016 Hadewych played in Toni Erdmann, this film was nominated for an Oscar and a Palme d’Or. She also played in the Netflix-series Tokyo Trial and in series like Zwarte Tulp and Hollands Hoop.

In 1999 Hadewych graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts (Dutch: Toneelacademie Maastricht). After her graduation, she decided to study Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City, NY. For years Hadewych played a variety of leading roles with renowned theatre companies such as ZT Hollandia and Toneelgroep Amsterdam.
The general public mostly knows Hadewych from the major TV and Film roles she played. On the silver screen, she was seen in movies like Phileine Zegt Sorry, Moordwijven, Zwart Water, Mannenharten, De Helleveeg and Borgman. The latter was nominated for a Palme d’Or in Cannes in 2013.
For her role in De Helleveeg she was nominated for a Golden Calf (aka 'Dutch Oscar'). For her role in Borgman she was awarded with the Golden Calf for Best Actress.
In 2016 she played in the Netflix-series Tokyo Trial. Recently she played a part in the second season of Zwarte Tulp and Hollands Hoop.
In 2016 Hadewych played in Toni Erdmann, this film was nominated for an Oscar and a Palme d’Or.
Besides acting Hadewych also has a successful singing career. Her albums were also followed by a successful theater tour. Furthermore, she delivered a phenomenal performance of Rachel Hazes in the musical theatre performance of Hij Gelooft In Mij. Her interpretation of Rachel Hazes in Bloed, Zweet en Tranen was awarded with a Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actress.
