MORE ABOUT ANNE+ & TEAM

The weekend Anne (24) moves into her own place she unexpectedly runs into her ex-girlfriend Lily. Lily was her first girlfriend and a lot has happened since they broke up four years ago. Over the weekend, Anne reflects on the relationships she has had throughout her student years in Amsterdam. In six episodes we learn about Anne’s turbulent love life and how these diverse girls and various relationships have contributed to who she is today.

MAUD WIEMEIJER (Screenplay)

Maud received her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam in 2016. During her studies, she was assistant director to Ursul de Geer for Advocaat van de Duivel, by Bos Theaterproducties. In the beginning of 2015, she wrote and directed the theater play Persona, of één van de andere archetypen, about the current generation of art students. She is also the co-writer of the short film Trifle (The One Vision Party). In late 2015 Maud created the concept for ANNE+, because she wants to develop herself as a screenwriter and because she believes that lesbians are still underrepresented in Dutch films and series.

VALERIE BISSCHEROUX (Director)

Valerie graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy – Production, Class of 2017 – with the movies Aimée and Bloed Kruipt. She was nominated for the FPN Award 2017 – partly because of her project plan for ANNE+. She has been working as an assistant producer at Millstreet Films since October 2017. Scenarist Maud Wiemeijer approached Valerie with the idea for ANNE+ in 2015, creating a perfect opportunity for Valerie to explore her directing ambitions.

LAURA BOUWMEESTER (Producer)

Laura is currently working as a freelance researcher and production coordinator. She received her master’s degree with honors in Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam in 2011. After working as an assistant to the producers at film production company Submarine, Laura decided to work for herself. In March 2017, Maud and Valerie asked Laura to join them to make ANNE+ a successful project. Besides working for ANNE+, Laura does project–based work for distribution company Periscoop Film and documentary production company DOXY Films.

RENÉE JANSSEN (Executive Producer)

Renée received her Sociology master’s degree in Gender, Sexuality and Society in 2014. She joined the ANNE+ team in 2017, after meeting Valerie and Maud in a bar. Besides her work as an executive producer for ANNE+, she is currently also working as a producer and researcher for Topkapi Nonfiction. She is fascinated by making hybrid combinations of fiction and non-fiction.
